The Indiana Hoosiers want College Gameday in Bloomington, and they want it there for Ohio State.

There’s a movement afoot in the college football world, and it’s one that’s a bit unexpected: a proposal to have ESPN’s “College GameDay” make an appearance Bloomington when the Indiana Hoosiers, 3-0 for the first time since 2010, host the top-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes on Oct. 3.

Yes, you read that right.

As reported by the Indianapolis Star, the movement began with the following tweet from radio personality Dan Dakich (for context, Lee Fitting is the producer of “GameDay”):

As tends to happen with social media movements, soon the ESPN-to-Indiana sentiment was everywhere. The Crimson Quarry, SB Nation’s blog devoted to Indiana athletics, did its part by outlining a list of reasons why Bloomington should play host to the most popular Saturday morning college football show in the country. The biggest reason: “GameDay” has never come to Bloomington, which means the atmosphere would be wild:

"The Alabamas and Clemsons and Notre Dames and Georgias have done GameDay. It’s a thing, and a cool thing, but not a life-altering thing. But in Bloomington? Ohhhhhhh, son. This is the equivalent to flying to Vegas on credit-card miles, winning 100 G’s on penny slots, booking a penthouse suite, and not giving the slightest of damns what happens to said suite."

However, not everyone agrees with the idea. As Lost Letterman points out, Indiana hasn’t exactly set the world on fire this season:

Of course, if the Indiana faithful want to keep the movement alive, the Hoosiers need to win on the road this weekend against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. A loss would ruin everything.
