Daniel Tosh issues statement on Lane Kiffin rumors

Folks, the Lane Kiffin pile-on isn’t going to stop anytime soon.

As you probably know by now, there is a rumor going around that that Alabama Crimson Tide offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin slept with either a booster’s daughter or head coach Nick Saban’s daughter. The rumor, entirely unverified, has set college football Twitter on fire today, with everyone getting their best (or dumbest) jokes off. Kiffin’s Wikipedia page was also hit by trolls, as we covered.

You almost feel a smidgen bad for poor guy. Almost. [Cut to USC and Tennessee fans shaking their heads in stern disagreement.]

Even Daniel Tosh, television personality and comedian, got in on the action, issuing the following statement:

A little context here: Tosh, as countless people have noted, kind of resembles Kiffin. (Seriously, do a quick search for “does anyone else think Daniel Tosh and Lane Kiffin look alike?” Many, many people have made that oh-so-brilliant observation.) Tosh used that resemblance as the basis for the following skit, in which he, as Kiffin, hosts a public access show and takes calls from dissatisfied and irate Alabama fans.

You should just probably buckle in for the rest of the day, college football fans, because the Kiffin jokes are not going to cease until every drop of humor, good or bad, has been wrung from the situation.
