You won’t be able to miss the Oregon State Beavers against Stanford with the chrome helmets they’ll be wearing
The Oregon State Beavers will be looking to break off some big plays against the Stanford Cardinal on Friday night as the Beavers try to pull off an upset in Corvallis. We won’t know until the game’s played how that attempt works out, but we do know that fans will certainly see the Beavers try considering their choice of helmet for Friday night.
On the night before their big Pac-12 matchup with the Cardinal, Oregon State unveiled their helmets for the game. In the simplest terms, they are the brightest of orange and you won’t be able to miss them:

The Beaver logo and the stripes look nice on the helmet, but that is one strong shade of orange that they’re going with there. It’s certainly bright enough to possibly distract Stanford and give the Beavers an advantage on a play or two, so there’s that.
Oregon State lost their only matchup with a power conference opponent so far this season while Stanford is riding high after knocking off a top-10 team in the USC Trojans. We’ll see if these orange helmets give the Beavers any kind of mojo or if they just remain relatively unsightly and potentially harmful to retinas.
