Keys to Victory
BYU
Last weekend the miracle run to start the season for the Cougars came to an end with a narrow loss to UCLA. Despite that, though, this team is on one heck of a track here in 2015. To walk out of Michigan Stadium with a win, Tanner Mangum is going to have to find that magic once again and get the passing game rolling. This is a Michigan defense that is only giving up 144 yards passing per game, but they have yet to see a passing attack the likes that Mangum and Co. have been bringing to the table.
Michigan
Of course, to that point above, Michigan has to do everything they can to avoid letting Mangum get into that zone of his. As we’ve seen to get this year started, once Tanner Mangum and the passing attack the Cougars have finds that rhythm, things do not tend to end well for the opposing team.
Odds
Point Spread: Michigan -7
Moneyline: BYU +220, Michigan -260
O/U: 44.5
Prediction
This one is pretty tough to gauge, in all honesty. Michigan, since losing in the opener to a very good Utah team, seems to be starting to find their groove. On the other hand, it’ll be interesting to see how BYU responds to that loss from last weekend after they were riding such a high. They can go either one of two ways here: They can get things back on track or they could let the wheels fall off from here on out with the hangover.
Don’t bet on the hangover, especially with Bronco Mendenhall leading this group. This team will bounce back and end up coming out of their opening four-game gauntlet 3-1 on the year.
Final Score: BYU 17, Michigan 10
