Happy Sunday! We have two full weeks of the 2015 NFL season under our belts, and things are going fairly well in this space. Last week’s performance took a slight step back from Week 1, but a winning week is a winning week and we’re just here to help out.

If you’re new to the proceedings, “fade the public” is what we do here, meaning that if the public is united on one side of a game, we are probably going the other way. Before we get to this week’s picks, let’s reflect on the season to this point, after another positive week.

  • Last week: 3-2
  • Season: 7-3

Without further ado, here are this week’s picks:

St. Louis Rams (PK) over Pittsburgh Steelers

If you were smart enough to jump on this early in the week, you were blessed with a true home underdog in the Rams. Now, the line has jumped to a pick’em in most spots, and that is crazy given that the public is almost unanimously (89% according to Vegas Insider) on the Steelers.

A line move of 1.5 points in the opposite direction of that type of public support can only mean significant sharp action on St. Louis, and I love being on that side. Pittsburgh is likely overvalued after an impressive showing against the 49ers, but the Rams have the pass rush to bother Ben Roethlisberger, and if Nick Foles can make any plays, we’ll profit with this pick. Fade the public, folks.
