When the Arizona Wildcats take the field against UCLA on Saturday night, they’ll have prized linebacker Scooby Wright out there
The Arizona Wildcats are taking on the UCLA Bruins Saturday night in a huge early-season Pac-12 showdown, and when the Wildcats take that field, they’ll have arguably the best defensive player in the country out there. According to a report from ESPN’s Brett McMurphy, Scooby Wright will be making his return after suffering a knee injury during the season opener.

Wright injured his knee during Arizona’s season-opening win over UTSA. At first, everyone feared the worst in thinking that it could have been an ACL tear. A few days later, though, it was revealed that it was a slight tear in his meniscus and he would have a procedure to clean it up. When it was found out that he would be having the procedure, the UCLA game on Saturday night was one of the dates targeted as a potential return.
Well, luckily for Wright and the Wildcats, the best-case scenario came to fruition.
Last season Scooby Wright made his mark on the game of college football like few defensive players before him have. In all, Wright recorded an amazing 164 total tackles with 31 of them going for a loss. He also added in 15 sacks as well, making his year that more unbelievable.
