Arizona QB Anu Solomon goes to locker room after hit to head
Arizona Wildcats quarterback Anu Solomon went to the locker room after taking a big hit to the head
Arizona Wildcats quarterback Anu Solomon was not having a good night to start his team’s primetime Pac-12 matchup with the UCLA Bruins. After a couple of fumbles and shaky play, he really needed to turn things around. A hit to the head seems to have taken away any chance Solomon would have to redeem himself, though.
Solomon took a blow to the head that left him clearly dazed and caused him to go out of the game. He was taken to the sidelines and talked with trainers before ultimately being taken back to the locker room:
The ESPN crew at the game reported that Solomon confirmed to trainers that it was a hit to the head that shook him up and that the quarterback is likely going through concussion protocol given the circumstances.
Solomon’s backup Jerrard Randall promptly rushed for a touchdown on his first play in relief of Solomon, so if the starter doesn’t return there is still hope for the Wildcats. We’ll keep you updated on FanSided as to Solomon’s injury, his prospects for returning in this big conference game, and if he’ll miss any time beyond Saturday.
