Texas Longhorns defensive lineman Hassan Ridgeway recovered a fumble and took it to the house for an always great fat guy Touchdown
There are plenty of plays that ignite immense excitement in college football fans. Seeing a quarterback fire a last-second Hail Mary, a beast-mode run with a ton of broken tackles, a crazy trick play, and many others all get the adrenaline pumping through the veins of fans. However, none of those can hold a candle to the joy of a fat guy touchdown and Texas Longhorns defensive lineman Hassan Ridgeway treated us to a glorious one on Saturday.
With the Longhorns gaining momentum after falling behind early to the Oklahoma State Cowboys, Cowboys quarterback Mason Rudolph was stripped in the pocket. Ridgeway snatched up the pigskin and rumbled down through the open field and into the endzone for a wonderful fat guy touchdown:
What does it look like when a 6'3", 314lb defensive tackle scores? Hassan Ridgeway has your answer.

That’s the epitome of grace and everything good in the world.
Almost as important as a fat guy touchdown is that Ridgeway’s score rejuvenated the Longhorns in a big way. That score included, the Longhorns went on a stretch outscoring Oklahoma State 17-3 after going down by a score of 14-3 early on. Not only is a fat guy TD fun for everyone, but it also apparently provides a big change in momentum.
