USC vs. Arizona State
The No. 19 USC Trojans will try to get back on track when they visit Arizona State on Saturday night at Sun Devil Stadium.
After emerging as potential playoff candidates early in the season, USC was upset at home by Stanford last weekend. Losing to Stanford may not be the biggest shock of the college football season, but giving up 41 points and 474 total yards to a Cardinal offense that was manhandled by Northwestern earlier in the year raises some serious concerns about USC’s defense moving forward. Still, quarterback Cody Kessler and receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster form a prolific combo that should be able to put points on the board against anyone.
Arizona State also enters the game at 2-1 with some major question marks. While a loss at Texas A&M to begin the season wasn’t the end of the world, the Sun Devils didn’t look great in wins over cupcakes Cal Poly and New Mexico. Quarterback Mike Bercovici was able to pull some Hail Mary magic on the Trojans last season, but doesn’t quite have the same offensive weapons around him this year than he did in 2014.
Dave Pasch and Brian Griese will have the call on ESPN at 10:30 PM eastern. The game can also be streamed using the WatchESPN app.
