The Utah punter might be the most athletic player on the team and he showed it here on Saturday night against Oregon
Everything is going the way of the Utah Utes on Saturday night. No, literally, everything is just turning in their favor, even the bad snaps.
In the third quarter of this one, they are taking it to the Oregon Ducks. They had a 41-13 lead at this point and they were faced with a fourth down and a punting situation. After they got through one crazy instance that involved the punt hitting the skycam wire, they really made everyone scratch their heads.
A fake punt was called seeing as they had Oregon on the ropes and reeling. Well, the snap for this play was just a little off, although that didn’t turn out to be that much of a problem. The Utah punter, Tom Hackett, pulled it down with one hand like he was Odell Beckham and actually took the run for 37 yards and the first down.
Everything, again, is on the side of the Utes. They are out here in Autzen Saturday night to make a statement and that’s indeed what they’re doing.
Oregon folks are not happy about this, but Utes fans are literally ecstatic with all of this. This play also led to another score.
