Week 3 of the NFL brings us a number of fascinating stories to watch today with ten games kicking off at 1:00, three at 4:00 and 4:25, and a Sunday Night Football game from Detroit as the Lions host the Broncos.  As you enjoy your weekly pro football fix, here are some of the fantasy football sleepers who I think you should have your eye on to produce for you either in season-long or one-week fantasy leagues.

More from Atlanta Falcons

Earlier this week, I posted my full lineup for DraftKings and FanDuel highlighting the matchups I like the most for this week. In this post, rather than highlight stars who will cost you a chunk of your salary, I focus on players who are much less expensive options who I think will out-perform their pay grade. If you’re looking for a last-minute addition to your season-long fantasy team, some of these players are on the waiver wire and have the potential to out-perform expectations this week based on matchup, opportunity, and their current form. They all represent risk of some kind, but I think it’s risk that will pay off this week.

As we enter just the third week of the season, some teams are already in what feels like must-win games as they try to avoid an 0-3 start.  The Colts, Seahawks, Saints, Ravens, Texans, Eagles, Lions, and Bears are all in danger of that disastrous start while the Patriots, Jets, Bengals, Broncos, Cowboys, Packers, Falcons, Panthers, and Cardinals are looking to move to 3-0.  Whether your fantasy team is dominating like that or struggling like the first list of teams, every team could use some productive fantasy football sleepers.

On each of the next few slides, you can find some of my favorite value plays for week 3.  While they each have their own risks, these players are set to produce despite their fairly low salary.  I’ve broken my picks down by position and included the salary of the player on both DraftKings and FanDuel. None of these players are in the top tier at their position, but I think they’ll out-perform expectations this week. At the bottom of each slide I’ve also included the players I selected at the position last week. Obviously these fantasy football sleepers have risk, but I think they’ll deliver.
