After four weeks of the college football season, are the Ohio State Buckeyes still the favorite to repeat as national champions?
Through four weeks of the college football season, the Ohio State Buckeyes are still undefeated. However, for the most part, they haven’t really looked like the team that we all thought we’d see as they seek their second consecutive national title.
With that being the case, have they slipped out of the top spot in the betting odds department? Are they still the favorite to walk away with the national championship when all is said and done this year?
Well, after the Week Four action, the latest odds have been released by Bovada, and the Buckeyes are still in that top spot.
National Title Odds:
Ohio State: 7-4
Michigan State: 8-1
Georgia: 9-1
LSU: 9-1
Ole Miss: 10-1
Baylor: 10-1
TCU: 12-1
Texas A&M: 12-1
Notre Dame 14-1
Alabama: 18-1
USC: 20-1
Clemson: 25-1
Oklahoma: 25-1
UCLA: 28-1
Right now, after four weeks and from all that we’ve seen, there are some pretty good bets there that you might want to take now while they’re hot. Also, it’s a tad bit surprising that the Utah Utes aren’t on this list, especially after what they did to the Oregon Ducks at home on Saturday night. Heck, if you’re feeling frisky, you can toss a few dollars and them and you may come out smelling like a rose. You know, if “smelling like a rose” in this case is code for filthy stinking rich.
Still, the biggest takeaway from these new odds is that the Buckeyes are still the best bet in Las Vegas to once again come away from the College Football Playoff as the champs.
