The Buffalo Bills will once again be without running back LeSean McCoy and wide receiver Sammy Watkins on Sunday.

The Buffalo Bills will be short-handed on offense for their Week 4 matchup against the New York Giants, as running back LeSean McCoy and wide receiver Sammy Watkins have been ruled out. McCoy is nursing a hamstring injury while Watkins is recovering from a calf injury, and NFL on ESPN confirmed that both players will not take the field on Sunday.

McCoy has been dealing with a hamstring injury throughout the entire season, but taking a week off may be exactly what the Bills running back needs to recover fully.

Despite McCoy being limited to begin the season, the Bills still rank first in the league in rushing, averaging 152.7 yards per game on the ground. The team also ranks third in the league with a 4.7 yards per carry average.

Karlos Williams will serve as the Bills’ starting running back against the Giants, and he has put together a promising rookie season so far. He rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries after filling in for McCoy in the Bills’ victory over the Miami Dolphins. He leads the team with 186 yards rushing on the season, averaging an astounding 7.8 yards per carry and adding three touchdowns.

Additionally, the presence of quarterback Tyrod Taylor has added another run threat to the Bills backfield, with the play-maker averaging 5.6 yards per carry on his own.

Meanwhile, Watkins suffered his calf injury in the Bills’ Week 3 victory, and he has not practiced since. The Bills have decided to give him some more rest for the time being and instead will rely on tight end Charles Clay and wide receiver Percy Harvin as the primary receiving weapons for Tyrod Taylor.
