The Florida Gators have quite the important game on Saturday, but they might be without their starting quarterback
Saturday, the Florida Gators will have their most important game of the season yet as they welcome in the third-ranked Ole Miss Rebels into The Swamp. However, they might have to take on the Rebels without the services of their starting quarterback, Will Grier.
It was noted earlier in the week that a few Florida players had come down with a bout of the flu. Unfortunately, Grier was one of those players, and because of the illness, he may be missing the biggest game of the season for the 25th-ranked Gators.

For what it’s worth at the moment, Grier’s father is insisting that no bout of the flu is going to keep his son from playing in this game.

While you want to be optimistic if you’re a member of the Grier family, the fact of the matter is that if he’s not well enough to take the field, there’s no way the coaching staff is letting him out there to take the snaps.
Should Grier not start, then the reins of the Florida offense would be turned over to sophomore Treon Harris, who actually is returning to the team this week after serving a one-game suspension in last weekend’s win over Tennessee at home.
Still, from what we’ve seen thus far, Grier gives the Gators the best option to win the football game. Should he indeed be held out, then that would be a crushing blow to the Florida upset hopes.
