The Texas Rangers accidentally tweeted out their desire for Charlie Strong to be fired
The Texas Longhorns, one week after suffering a disastrous defeat in heartbreaking fashion, got ran off the field against the TCU Horned Frogs on Saturday. As a result, many people around the world started calling for Longhorns head coach Charlie Strong to lose his job. Apparently someone working with the Texas Rangers shares the sentiment that wants Strong out as the Longhorns head coach.
The Rangers sent out this since deleted tweet on their official count as the Horned Frogs continued to beat down Texas (captured via screen shot):

As I said, the tweet has been deleted and is obviously the result of someone either tweeting from the wrong account or not knowing how to filter themselves when they’re running the Twitter account of a professional sports organization. Nonetheless, it happened.
Strong seemed to be heading in the right direction after he was competitive against the Oklahoma State Cowboys last week, right up until a botched punt gave the Cowboys an easy come-from-behind victory. After this week’s debacle in Fort Worth, it’s not surprising that people would be calling for his job, especially a group of fans as passionate as the Longhorns fan-base.
It’s a whole new level, though, when your local MLB team is also in on calling for your job. Everything’s bigger in Texas.
