Baylor 390-pound tight end/offensive lineman LaQuan McGowan warming up is the greatest thing in college football
LaQuan McGown is a senior on the Baylor Bears football team and is one of the most unique talents in college football. McGowan is a hybrid tight end/offensive lineman weighing in at around 400 pounds who is surprisingly agile for a man his size and has incredible hands for anyone, regardless of size.
As you might expect, watching McGowan warm up is one of the most incredible sights in football. He’s out on the field snagging balls with one hand easily and doing so on repeat. After all of that, he’s also such a big guy that he has some trouble getting his shoulder pads and jersey on. It all comes together to create a masterpiece of entertainment:
Baylor's 390 pounder LaQuan McGowan can easily catch one-handed passes. Putting on his jersey? That's tougher. http://t.co/kWvc4bFHZX

McGowan recorded one catch last season for the Bears, an 18-yard score in the Cotton Bowl. After seeing him warm up, I don’t think anyone would be opposed to the idea of Baylor throwing it his way on every single play. It might slow down the Bears’ attack, but who’s really going to stop that man?
Alas, McGowan has yet to record a reception this year, but even just his warm ups have provided us with highlights. Let’s just hope he gets the glory he obviously deserves in game action at some point this season.
