Louisville wide receiver James Quick made one of the most insane catches you’ll ever see

The Louisville Cardinals are trying to get their season on track after a 1-3 start as they take on the NC State Wolfpack in Raleigh, NC on Saturday. The Cardinals jumped out to a lead in the first half and wide receiver James Quick is making incredible catches to make sure his team stays in the driver’s seat.

Midway through the second quarter with Louisville up 13-0, Quick was on a route up the left sideline being shadowed by solid coverage. It didn’t matter for Quick, though, who reached up with one hand to snag the catch on his shoulder for a big gain:

Making a one-handed grab is nice, as is having the presence of mind to trap a catch against your shoulder or helmet. Quick decided to just be ultra impressive and do both of those things in this one catch. That’s a highlight that we’re going to be seeing in the “Best Catches of the Year” video package at the end of the season.

Louisville has had a tough go of it to start the 2015 college football season, but they’re certainly firing on all cylinders against the Wolfpack today. When you have receivers doing things like what Quick did with this catch, it might just be your day on the gridiron.
