No. 3 Ole Miss Rebels vs. No. 25 Florida Gators
Coming into Saturday’s contest between the Ole Miss Rebels and Florida Gators, there are many uncertainties on both sides of the field. For one, it will be interesting to see which team proves to be worthy of their current ranking while the Rebels and Gators weren’t expected to be much in the way of contenders at the start of the season.
Ole Miss comes in to the week five matchup with Florida ranked No. 3 outright in the country after a huge road win over No. 2 Alabama just two weeks ago. Chad Kelly is making people forget the Bo Wallace days by leading a stellar passing attack with weapons such as Laquon Treadwell and Cody Core to throw to.
The Rebels are a middle-tier defense and could struggle against a newly-revived Florida Gators offense led by quarterback Will Grier.
Traveling to The Swamp is never easy for any SEC team, even when the Gators are struggling, but when they have the kind of stingy defense they have this year and a renewed offense, the Rebels will definitely have their hands full on Saturday night.
Grier is starting yet another game after splitting snaps with sophomore Treon Harris to start the year and he has passed for 725 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions. Now that the starting job is his to lose, the pressure might really be on.
Florida’s rushing offense isn’t overly impressive, but junior running back Kelvin Taylor could break the long one at any moment.
