Demaryius Thomas leaves with possible concussion
The Denver Broncos are leading the Minnesota Vikings 20-10 in the third quarter of their game on Sunday afternoon, but they have serious concerns. Superstar wide receiver Demaryius Thomas was forced to leave the game in the second half to apparently be evaluated for a concussion after taking a vicious helmet-to-helmet hit by safety Harrison Smith.

Thomas was immediately taken to the Denver locker room with what is being called a neck injury. His return is questionable.
Denver would be in tough position should Thomas be sidelined for any amount of time. While Emmanuel Sanders is more than capable of taking the load of a top receiver, there is nobody on the Broncos depth chart who can fill the second spot. At this point it would be either Jordan Norwood or Cody Latimer.
On the positive side, Thomas was able to walk off the field under his own power. However, Thomas was in clear pain and did not stay on the sideline for more than a few seconds before heading toward the tunnel with medical personnel. Thomas has been one of the best receivers in the game after two underwhelming seasons with Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow at the helm.
In 2012, Thomas broke out with 94 catches and 1,434 yards to accompany 10 touchdowns. The following season, Thomas racked up 92 catches for 1,430 yards and 14 touchdowns. In 2014, Thomas amassed 111 catches and 1,619 yards with 11 touchdowns. During the offseason, Thomas was rewarded with a five-year, $70 million contract.
