The Broncos finally got something going on the ground this week as the escaped with a win over Minnesota to stay undefeated and still unconvincing at 4-0.  The back that did most of the work on Sunday was not the highly-drafted fantasy-first-rounder C.J. Anderson, but waiver wire worker Ronnie Hillman.

Hillman ripped off a 72-yard touchdown which inflated his totals to 103 yards on the ground on 11 carries while he also added a catch for five more yards.  It was Hillman’s second straight week with a rushing touchdown while his teammate C.J. Anderson has yet to find the end zone or rush for 50 yards in a game.

That being said, though, coach Gary Kubiak refuses to name Hillman the starter and says the team will continue to utilize both backs going forward.  Anderson will continue to get his work, but Hillman is actually a better fantasy option at this point.  He’s risky since he’s in a timeshare, but he’s definitely worth a flex flier this week as the Broncos visit the Raiders in Oakland who have been vulnerable to the run.
