Heading into an intense few weeks with teams on byes, it’s time to improve your fantasy football team’s depth at each position. Probably the hardest position to get midseason reinforcements at is running back since there are so few available who are involved in their teams offense. To help you bolster your backfield, check out my top 8 waiver wire running backs on the following slides.

Some of these picks were also included in my top 10 waiver wire targets for week 5 which is a weekly feature here at Fansided. To help you keep your time stocked up in case of injury or ineffectiveness, I give options at all the major fantasy positions each week, but there is always a high demand for good running backs.
As the season goes on, there is also a great amount of attrition in backfields across the NFL with players going down injured or not running as effectively due to physical issues. There are also new names emerging and shifting the balance of power like Todd Gurley who burst onto the scene with a huge game this week leafing Tre Mason on the short end of the timeshare.
With the constantly changing landscape, it’s important to keep up with the latest which you can find from Fansided by dropping a bookmark on our fantasy football hub. If you’re on Twitter give us a follow @Fansided Fantasy where I’ll do my best to answer as many waiver wire or start/sit questions as I can.
