The major storyline is Indianapolis being without star quarterback Andrew Luck. Luck has taken a wicked beating throughout the season and is missing his second consecutive start with a right shoulder injury. There were rampant reports that Luck sustained a partially separated shoulder, although the team refutes that.

With Luck on the shelf, the Colts are starting 40-year-old Matt Hasselbeck. The veteran started against and beat the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon, throwing for 287 yards and a touchdown on 47 attempts. Hasselbeck was not incredible, but he proved capable. On the road against a terrific front seven, the Colts are hoping to get another passable performance from Hasselbeck and get to 3-2 on the year.
Houston is 1-3 and looks atrocious for the most part. The Texans have not been able to generate any offense at all, mostly because the quarterback situation is a mess. Brian Hoyer won the starting job in training camp but was yanked after only three quarters in Week 1, giving way for Ryan Mallett. Mallett has been nothing to write home about, posting a 1-2 record in three starts and looking rough against pressure.
