Actor Samuel L. Jackson had some words for the NFL’s ruling of what is a catch after another controversial play took place today.

For the past few seasons, what is deemed a catch in the NFL has come under scrutiny. It began with Calvin Johnson’s overturned catch a couple of years ago and most notably featured Dez Bryant’s supposed catch in the 2015 NFC Divisional Round being ruled incomplete after the ball moved once he hit the ground.

Well, there was more controversy today. As Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman was trying to stretch his arm with the football into the end zone for a touchdown, the ball came loose. However, this came about a second after the ball crossed the goal line.

Check out video of it below.

It’s a very debatable call but shouldn’t this be a touchdown if the ball crosses the line while the player has possession? Well, actor Samuel L. Jackson was not a fan of the call either. He took to Twitter by saying the following:

Well said, Samuel L. Jackson. Well said.

The ruling of what is deemed a catch will continue to be debated in the NFL. At some point, league officials will have to clear this up, but for now, this will be a problem that will linger throughout the 2015 NFL season.
