Fantasy football week 5 recap: Studs, duds, and sleepers
Sunday was a great day of football especially if your team is from the midwest. The Browns, Bengals, and Bears all stormed back late to get big wins in the early games. In the later afternoon games, the Broncos survived another poor offensive performance while the Patriots and Cardinals kept rolling. To catch up on all the happenings in a busy week fantasy football week 5 check out my studs, duds, and sleepers on the following slides.

As I’ve done each week this season, I’ve listed some of the biggest studs, some of the biggest duds, and the biggest sleepers at each of the main fantasy football positions–quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and tight end. Studs are players who came into the week with high expectations and delivered for their owners with big point totals. On the other hand, the duds are players who were expected to perform this week, but who were unable to deliver due to injury or ineffectiveness. Finally at each position, the sleepers are some of the players who weren’t expected to make big fantasy contributions but who had solid fantasy football week 5’s and may have some value for your fantasy team going forward.
The big story in fantasy football week 5 was the injury to Jamaal Charles which will likely cost the Chiefs’ star running back the rest of the season. Charles’ absence adds to a string of disappointing first-round running backs including DeMarco Murray, Jeremy Hill, C.J. Anderson, Eddie Lacy, and Marshawn Lynch.
