Welcome back to #NBAVineRank, our latest project here at The Friendly Bounce. We’ve ranked all 30 teams in terms of Vineability, and are counting them down as we kill time in the offseason. Today we check in on the Milwaukee Bucks, who have come in at six.
25-21: Hey look, there are the Pacers
19-16: This is the Lake Show, but don’t drown though
15-11: Miami Heat just miss the top 10
10-9: Wizards and Spurs crack the top 10
7: Rockets and Timberwolves tie for seventh
1 Golden State Warriors (10)
What was your favorite aspect of Curry’s Most Vineable Player season last year?
Jack (@jackhaveitall): Man, this is so tough, because Curry was phenomenal at pretty much everything he did last year. But I think I have to go with his passing. Can’t ever go wrong with some fancy dishes.
Wes Goldberg (@wcgoldberg): As good a shooter as he is, as good a passer as he is, his handles provide such a splendid amount of Vineable #content. Specifically when he dribbles circles around his defender and pulls up for a smooth shot.
Ryne Prinz (@ryneprinz): I think that his overall swagger was just fantastic. The fact that he would pull up, shoot a three, and turn around while the ball is still in the air is the best.
Zach Oliver (@ZachOliverNBA): Oh, sure, put a gun to my head and make me choose. His passing is something special, but I like where Tyne was going with his #swag. Maybe we need to call him Swaggy Steph from now on.
Taylor Smith (@TaylorBojangles): I agree with Wes. The two moments that stick out to me are when he ended CP3’s ankles and that whirling, out-of-control series of dribbles that ended in a fadeaway three against the Clippers. Just ridiculous.
Donnie Kolakowski (@donniebuckets): I loved the helplessness of the defense personally. You could tell some teams focused all their energy on stopping him from getting a shot off, and he would anyway. The incredulous reactions from defenders were the best for me.
How long will it take for Curry to surpass his ridiculous pass/early celebration from the preseason game the other day?
Jack: Knowing him, probably like five minutes into their first regular season game, haha.
Wes: Uh, like, a quarter. Oh wait, he already did.
Ryne: It will definitely be in their season opener. I’m calling early 3rd-quarter. Lock it in!
Zach: Sometime in the first game, like, the 4:49 mark of the second quarter.
Taylor: Second game of the season in Houston. Don’t know why.
Donnie: Not long. He good.
Who is the most Vineable player on the Warriors besides Curry?
Jack: I like Harrison Barnes. He’s liable to throw down some some ferocious dunks on people’s heads.
Wes: Does Draymond Green getting into scuffles with other players count? Yes? Then him.
Ryne: SPEIGHTS COWBOY, BABY. Sure, his game consists of nailing midrange jumpers, but his antics easily qualify him for this position.
Zach: Andre Iguodala. He can do so much on the court. I think he should get Vined a lot more.
Taylor: How has nobody said Klay Thompson yet? This team has so many Vineable components that they’re the No. 1 team by a wiiiiiiiide margin.
Donnie: Draymond. He’s got everything: hustle plays, great passes, great reactions. He’s a very versatile Viner.
