The early games in week 6 featured some crazy finishes, a few blowouts, a surprise cameo from a college star, and some great numbers for some fantasy football owners. Check out all the fantasy football scoring leaders from the eight 1:00 starts listed below.

More from Detroit Lions

There were two games that went into overtime in the early games which is why this post is a little later than normal, but here are all the top fantasy football plays from early in week 6:

Matthew Stafford-QB-Detroit Lions: The Lions QB had struggled mightily and even been benched last week, but he came back in a big way getting the Lions  passing game going against a horrible Bears secondary. He threw for 405 yards on 27/42 passing while throwing for four touchdowns.  He did throw a pick, but he also added 37 yards on the ground and helped the Lions get an ugly win over the Bears.

DeAndre Hopkins-WR-Houston Texans: Hopkins stayed red hot and continued to play like the top WR in the NFL putting up an impressive 148 yards on his ten catches while hauling in a pair of touchdowns.  Hopkins is extremely reliable every week and gets a ton targets for Houston no matter who starts at QB.

Ryan Fitzpatrick-QB-New York Jets: Fitzpatrick was Hopkins QB last season in Houston, and he had a good game Sunday with his new team in New York as the Jets rolled over the Redskins.  Fitz threw for 253 yards and a pair of TDs while adding 31 yards and another TD on the ground.

Chris Ivory-RB-New York Jets: The Jets running game was in high gear all day as Ivory ran for 146 yards on 20 carries while rushing for a touchdown.  He added 50 yards on his three catches and had another big game as he continues to step up as a potential RB1.

Martavis Bryant-WR-Pittsburgh Steelers: Even without Big Ben, Bryant had a huge return to the league boosted by his huge 88-yard touchdown.  Bryant finished with a pair of scores on his six catches for 137 yards.  With Big Ben coming back, Bryant should be a nice play moving forward.

Dolphins D/ST: Miami looked like a new team with Dan Campbell at the helm in place of Joe Philbin. Not only did the offense look better with Lamar Miller much more involved, but the defense also looked much better scoring a defensive TD and forcing four turnovers.  Miami dropped Marcus Mariota for six sacks and only allowed ten points putting up a great  defensive game with 25 ESPN standard scoring point.

Brian Hoyer-Houston Texans: Hoyer and the Texans got the win in Jacksonville as he threw for 293 yards and three scores. He should keep the job and keep feeding DeAndre Hopkins moving forward.

Calvin Johnson-Detroit Lions: The Lions git their first win of the season and Calvin Johnson was a big part of it catching six passes for 166 yards and a touchdown including a bomb that set up the game-winning field goal in overtime.

Blake Bortles-Jacksonville Jaguars: On the other side of that same game, Bortles threw for 331 yards and three touchdowns in the Jags loss while also throwing three picks.  He added 37 yards on the ground, but was forced to throw the ball 53 times going 30/53. Bortles is getting plenty of volume as the Jags play from behind.

Alshon Jeffery-WR-Chicago Bears: After missing the last four weeks, Jeffery returned to the field for Chicago and finished with eight catches for 147 yards and a touchdown in the Bears OT loss in Detroit.

Gary Barnidge-TE-Cleveland Browns: After Benjamin Watson’s big Thursday night production, tight ends were relatively quiet in the early action of week 6.  There were two exceptions, one of which was Barnidge who hauled in two touchdown passes in the Browns loss to Denver finishing with three catches for 39 yards.

Julius Thomas-TE-Jacksonville Jaguars: Thomas hauled in seven passes for 78 yards and a touchdown in his first game at full speed for the Jags.  He was targeted an impressive 13 times, and he’ll be a top-ten TE as long as he’s so involved in Jacksonville’s passing attack.
