Happy Sunday! We are beginning to hit our stride with regard to the 2015 NFL season, and that is evident by how things have shaken out from a handicapping perspective in recent weeks. Last week’s slate was relatively kind to us, and as always, we are back with five more picks against the spread.

If you are new to the party, we are looking to “fade the public” at every turn, and we will explain as much when the signs are present. Regardless, the mission is to hand out winners whenever possible, and as you can see, we are holding up our end of the bargain this season.

  • Last week: 3-2
  • Season: 17-13

Without delay, let’s roll with these week’s quintet of selections.

Tennessee Titans (+4.5) over Atlanta Falcons

Everyone on the planet is on the Falcons. We are not.

Atlanta is getting at least 80% of the action (according to both Vegas Insider and Sports Insights) at -4.5 but the line isn’t moving, which is generally an indication that the sharp guys are on the home underdog. Tennessee has lost four straight games after their wildly impressive season-opening victory over Tampa Bay, but the Titans are better than they have been in recent years and the public probably assumes they are, simply, the “same old Titans”. I actually believe that the Falcons are good, but this line should probably be 3 in Tennessee, and the extra point and a half (in addition to the sharp lean) is enough to convince me to ride with the home team.
