The Atlanta Falcons and Tennessee Titans faced off in a contest down in Nashville.

44. Final. 7. 35. 10

Coming off a disappointing Thursday night showing against the New Orleans Saints one week ago, the Atlanta Falcons looked to bounce back on Sunday against a young Tennessee Titans squad. If they were expecting a walkover, the Falcons received nothing of the sort against the Titans.

Both Matt Ryan and Zach Mettenberger (starting for injured Marcus Mariota) sprayed the ball around all afternoon with varied success. Both found the end zone, while also throwing their fair share of picks. For Tennessee, Mettenberger was about all she wrote on the offensive side, as the team’s run game was basically nonexistent. For the Falcons, Davonta Freeman continued his Pro Bowl march with yet another game over 100 yards rushing.

Tennessee gave the Falcons all they could handle, but just couldn’t make enough plays to pull out the victory.

Three stars

Davonta Freeman: 25 CAR, 116 YDS

Julio Jones:  9 REC, 92 YDS, 1 TD

Wesley Woodyard: 9 Total (6 solo)
