Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Top 10 Pickups for Week 8

Khiry Robinson-RB-New Orleans Saints (8.4%)
The Saints went on the road and got a very nice win this week as they knocked off the Colts and improved their record to 2-4. Much of the damage the Saints did this week was on the ground which unusually for the Drew Brees-led offense. While Mark Ingram is the primary back, it’s definitely worth noticing the bump in playing time for Khiry Robinson who is available on the fantasy football waiver wire in over 90% of ESPN leagues.
Robinson got the goal line work and picked up two touchdowns on the ground while finishing with 28 yards on his 14 carries. He now has four rushing touchdowns in his last five games and is emerging as a true goal line bruiser. He also gets some work on a few series per game when Ingram needs a break and has seen an increase in his workload the last few weeks.
Robinson is definitely the minority share-holder in the Saints’ backfield but his goal line prowess makes him worth owning in most formats. He makes sense as a bye week option as well since you have a good chance to at least get a red zone opportunity as long as he keeps getting goal line work.
