Eric Ebron-TE-Detroit Lions (27.3%)

If you need a tight end for this week or you’re too worried about Jordan Reed’s injuries, another option from the fantasy football waiver wire to consider is Lions’ pass-catcher Eric Ebron.  Ebron has had a positive impact this year after struggling in his rookie year as so many tight ends do.

Ebron missed a pair of games with a knee issue, but he returned against Minnesota this past week and caught all five passes thrown his way.  On his five catches, he totaled 89 yards and a touchdown giving him three scores on the season and at least 50 yards in three of his five games.

This week, the Lions take on the Chiefs in Kansas City before their week 9 bye.  Ebron is a low-end TE1 and the most reliable option who is available in most ESPN leagues aside from Reed. If you need a one-week cover for a week 8 bye (Buffalo, Jacksonville, Philadelphia, Washington), Ebron is the best option to grab and plug in your lineup.
