Someone should tell NBA League Pass who Karl-Anthony Towns is.

Karl-Anthony Towns has gotten off to a tremendous start in his NBA career as a rookie for the Minnesota Timberwolves. He’s been surprisingly proficient offensively and he’s already been dominant in terms of his defensive play and his rebounding. In fact, he’s one of the early league leaders in the rebounding department.

As part of one of their Game Break graphics, NBA League Pass was trying to highlight the league’s leaders in rebounding at this point in the young season, Towns included. The only problem is that it seems like the folks at League Pass need to be told the difference between the Wolves rookie and Los Angeles Lakers veteran center Roy Hibbert:

Whoops. This would be the time to make jokes about how it didn’t take long for Towns to start looking washed up.

Hibbert hasn’t been bad at the start of the year for the Lakers as he’s put up 11 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game over the first two games. However, that pales in comparison to Towns who has put up 21 points, 13 rebounds, and two blocks per game over his first two games with the Wolves and as a pro.

It’s pretty clear already that Towns and Hibbert are two different classes of talent, so maybe League Pass should try and make sure that they know the difference next time.
