Second-year player Andrew Wiggins throws down a nasty alley-oop as the Minnesota Timberwolves defeat the Chicago Bulls 102-93 in overtime

Andrew Wiggins is sick. The Chicago Bulls found that out (if they didn’t already know) on Saturday night when the second-year guard dropped 31 points during the Timberwolves 102-93 overtime win.

One play specifically showed off the athleticism that made Wiggins the top pick in the draft. The play in question took place about midway through the second quarter when the Wolves star worked his way open around a screen and threw down a Ricky Rubio pass for a nasty alley-oop.

Pau Gasol simply watched Wiggins throw it down as he realized there was no way he could get as high up as the young star did on this play.

The 20-year old player will always be known as the main piece traded for Kevin Love as the Cleveland Cavaliers believed they were better off with the veteran power forward as they searched for a championship. Even with the skill Love brings, Wiggins keeps showing off his untapped talent which would have been fun to watch besides the best player in the world in LeBron James.

Wiggins logged 41 minutes in the win and hit on 11 of his 27 shots, but hit on four of five three point attempts. Rubio logged only seven points but did have ten assists, none of which generated as much excitement as the alley-oop pass.
