4. Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons are tied for last in the NFL in sacks, so they clearly need to upgrade their defensive line. The Falcons hoped to upgrade their pass rush in the draft when they selected defensive end Vic Beasley in the first round. However, Beasley has been an overall disappointment since he has only come up with two sacks. Defensive tackles Ra’Shede Hageman and Paul Soliai have both failed to make an impact, so drafting Nkemdiche should definitely be considered by the Falcons. The Falcons have needed to upgrade in both of their trenches for a while now, and this has shown in their losing streak.

Playing physical football is out of the question for the Falcons right now. Hiring Dan Quinn as their head coach has not produced immediate results for the Falcons defense. Quinn will likely have a second year to prove that he can turn the Falcons defense around. Adding a mean presence such as Nkemdiche would greatly improve their defense if they are willing to pull the trigger even with his character concerns. Maintaining a strong defensive line is essential in a division like the NFC South since it has quarterbacks such as Cam Newton and Drew Brees.
