In this week’s You’re The Worst rankings, we break down the worst general managers in the National Football League. There are eight of them. For those counting at home, that’s one quarter of the league. Yes 25 percent of the NFL front offices are absolute houses of horrors.

What this means is that any clown with a sliderule and a GED can saunter up to the front office of a multi-million dollar franchise, pull some levers, push some buttons, make some calls, sign some papers and run that bad rascal right into the ground.

Whether it’s a complete lack of concern for payroll structure like Micky Loomis in New Orleans, or a fundamental misunderstanding about how to scout players (hello, Cleveland), or pure egotism (looking at, Trent Baalke) incompetence is a trend throughout the league.

If you’re too lazy to click through this slideshow (and if so, god help you for not having the gumption to press the right arrow key), then here’s a hint for what lies ahead. Think about every team you’ve watched this year. If after the game you thought maybe gargling paint thinner would be more appetizing than sitting through another 60 minutes of that trash heap, well, then they’re probably on the list.

Per usual with the You’re The Worst rankings, these were put together by Matt Verderame (@MattVerderame) and Jonathan Bass (@SmarfLives). Tweet at them with all your adoration. Now let’s bottom out.
