San Francisco 49ers (+3.5) over St. Louis Rams

The Niners have lost three straight. The Rams have won three straight. Naturally, the Rams are only favored by 3.5 points.

Wait, what?

This is a classic trap line from Vegas, as the entire world is on the Rams as a short road favorite. St. Louis is a better team than San Francisco on paper, but the Niners are frisky on defense and playing at home for the final time in a meaningless spot. It won’t be fun, but San Francisco is the right side with the points.

Green Bay Packers (-3) over Minnesota Vikings

Will the real Green Bay offense please stand up?

The Packers were obliterated by the Arizona Cardinals a week ago and, as a result, this line is simply too low. Yes, Green Bay isn’t quite as good as we all thought they would be at the start of the year, but this effectively installs the game as a “pick’em,” and I simply don’t believe that Minnesota is equal to Green Bay with a lot on the line.

More than half of the action is on Minnesota right now, but I’m on Aaron Rodgers in a must-win spot. Give me the Packers in prime time.
