Zach LaVine takes flight for huge alley-oop vs Bucks (Video)
Timberwolves high-flyer Zach LaVine skied for a monster jam against the Bucks on Saturday
Minnesota Timberwolves second-year guard Zach LaVine has been struggling in a big way as of late. After looking like he might have a breakout season earlier in the year, he’s taken major steps back and has had a hard time even justifying being able to stay on the floor lately. Even still, LaVine’s absolutely ridiculous hops haven’t left him and he put them on display on Saturday against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Late in the fourth quarter after the Wolves had blown a lead and were trailing the Bucks, Ricky Rubio was leading a fast break with LaVine on the wing when Rubio put up a beautiful lob from the top of the key. Only a player with the unreal leaping ability of LaVine would’ve been able to go up and get it, which the second-year guard did for the beautiful alley-oop jam:
".@ZachLaVine was just cleared for takeoff against the @Bucks! The @Timberwolves are live now on @fsnorth https://t.co/r88JcmKrO0— FOX Sports North (@fsnorth) January 3, 2016"
I know he wowed and won in the Slam Dunk Contest just last year, but his encore performance in a little over a month in the dunk contest can’t come soon enough; the kid is just unreal and has springs attached to his feet. Moreover, he’s just another piece on this Minnesota team that makes you think just how fun this team is going to be in the years to come as their young pieces grow together.
