Kenneth Faried blocks Harrison Barnes into the next dimension (Video)
Denver Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried blocked Golden State Warriors forward Harrison Barnes right off the floor.
Denver Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried is called “The Manimal” for a reason. He brings effort to the court and while his game isn’t necessarily polished on either end, when he makes a play, he does it emphatically.
That’s the only way he knows how to play and against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, the forward put together another highlight reel block.
With Warriors forward Harrison Barnes taking a feed from Klay Thompson right in front of a wide open hoop with a defender on the ground, it looked like Barnes was going to have the easy slam home for two points.
Neither he nor anyone else expected Faried to close the gap and get up to block him so hard that he fell right on the floor.
The bigger Faried has always had some power behind him, and when he hits the opposing player with a block, they usually end up feeling it just like Barnes did.
He might not necessarily be a rim protector or great defender, but he can make great blocks and contest shots if he his tested.
Unfortunately for Barnes, he failed that test.
