Blair Walsh’s field goal miss was hard to stomach, but perhaps nobody took it harder than VIkings’ play-by-play announcer Paul Allen.

Somebody took a video of Vikings radio announcer Paul Allen as he was calling Blair Walsh’s field goal miss. After scoring all nine of the Vikings’ points earlier, Walsh only had to make a 27-yard chip shot to win the game, but it inexplicably sailed wide left. Allen’s reaction really says it all.

By the looks of it, Allen was trying his best not to curse after saying “And the Seattle Seahawks are off to Charlotte.” Whenever a team endures a heartbreaking loss like this, we always want to see how the home announcers reacted to it. After the game, Paul Allen posted this photo to Twitter, which has all the feels:

Vikings fans have been through this all before. Blair Walsh’s field goal miss wasn’t even the worst in franchise history, and this only served to bring back painful memories of Gary Anderson. While the internet has taken to making fun of Walsh in the wake of his miss, drawing comparisons to Ray Finkle, he still has some fans on his side and he recently visited them. If you’re a Vikings fan that needs to be cheered up, this will provide instant relief.
