Although it seemed like it, not every team in the NBA played yesterday.  With ten games on Martin Luther King Day, there were ten NBA teams that didn’t take the floor, but seven of them (along with New Orleans)will be in action tonight as we get back to work with four games on tonight’s schedule for our DFS fantasy basketball enjoyment. As you put together your lineup, check out my DraftKings daily picks on the following slides to see the players I think will help you succeed tonight.

More from Denver Nuggets

Tonight’s action gets underway at 7:30 PM ET when the Bucks visit the Heat who are home after a long trip west.  At 8:00, the Pelicans finish their back-t0-back as they face the Timberwolves in the Big Easy, and the night wraps up with two games starting at 9:00 as the Suns host the Pacers and the Thunder travel to Denver where Russell Westbrook will be going for his third straight triple-double. The Pelicans are the only one of tonight’s eight teams that also played yesterday while the Heat, Timberwolves, and Thunder are on the front side of their back-to-back as they turn around for another game tomorrow.

Fatigue is one factor to consider as you set your lineup for tonight, but there are lots of different ways to dissect tonight’s matchups.  To see who I like the most, check out my DraftKings daily picks on the following slides. At each position, you’ll find  a slide for high-salary options and a slide for high-value options. Each slide contains at least two options with a few extras thrown in where possible.  I base each pick on the current form of each player and the positional matchups each player will face in tonight’s game.

This month, I also have started to rank my picks using stars after each selection. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but the short version is “more stars=more confidence.” On the final slide of the post, you can see my recent results at each level of confidence.  Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the best of my picks into my lineups for tonight’s contests as well as my “bonus” lineup for this afternoon’s contests.

In this post, all salary references and references to “fantasy points” refer to DraftKings pricing and scoring.  If you are looking for similar coverage specifically for DraftKings, check the box above for related posts or find the latest on our fantasy basketball hub.
