John Scott might be wearing a St. John’s IceCaps jersey at the 2016 NHL All Star game instead of a Coyotes jersey

John Scott will be representing the Pacific Division at the 2016 NHL All Star Game as their captain. Fans wanted him to go so they voted for him to be the Pacific Division captain, and it was looking iffy for a while, but the NHL confirmed today that he will be their captain.

When asked about what jersey he would wear to Nashville, Scott hinted that he might decide to wear his AHL jersey.

Scott is currently listed on the IceCaps roster, the team who is the AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens. He was traded to them last week in one of the strangest three team trades that the league has ever seen.

Knowing John Scott, it’s quite likely that he is kidding. Since he is the lone Arizona Coyotes representative, he will most likely wear their jersey out of respect to the team. Of course, Scott has a tendency to mess with his old teammates so maybe he will actually wear his AHL team’s jersey to the All Star game.

Scott has 11 points in 285 career games with 542 penalty minutes. In 11 games with the Arizona Coyotes this season, Scott had one assist and 25 penalty minutes. He played for the San Jose Sharks during the 2014-2015 season and had a career high three goals and one assist for a career high four points. Scott’s career high in penalty minutes is 125, which he set back in 2013-2014.
