Point Guards:

Best Bets:

John Wall, Wizards ($9,600): Wall is still prone to the occasional clunker (he has been under 30 twice in his last ten games), which makes him a bit of a risk. That said, this is a light night that is mostly void of superstars. Wall can produce like one on occasion. He racked up 73.9 FanDuel points against Boston on January 16th. His matchup against Denver is a good one, so if you have the money, use Wall.

Rajon Rondo, Kings ($8,500): Rondo doesn’t have the upside that Wall does, but he has produced very consistent numbers. He is averaging 36.7 FanDuel points over the last ten games, which is very close to his season average of 37.2. His production warrants the price. If you don’t want to take chances, Rondo is the safe pick.

Honorable Mention:

Mike Conley, Grizzlies ($6,800): Conley has averaged 31.2 FanDuel points in his four games since returning from a sore Achilles. That is above his season average and makes him nearly a 5x value. If you would rather spend your money elsewhere, Conley has been above average for his price range.

Jrue Holliday, Pelicans ($6,800): Holliday still has an off game here and there, but as he showed on Monday against the Rockets, he still has something left in the tank. He is rounding back into form and scored a season high 32 points in his last outing. He is worth the risk at this price.

If You’re Cheap:

Emmanuel Mudiay, Nuggets ($5,100): Mudiay has done a really good job with Jameer Nelson out. It looks like Nelson will be out again tonight, so his 24 points per game average with Nelson out will help your team by getting nearly 4.5x value.

Cory Joseph, Raptors ($3,700): Keep an eye on Kyle Lowry’s status heading into this one. If he is forced to miss the game, Joseph is a must-play at this price. Even if Lowry is just limited, Joseph is likely still worth a look. He hasn’t played under 20 minutes in a game since early December. He is a strong bet to get you near 5x value even if Lowry plays.

My picks: Rondo and Conley

Shooting Guards:

Best Bet:

Jimmy Butler, Bulls ($8,700): Butler relies a lot on scoring, so he does have the occasional off game like he did on Monday against the Heat. However, the Bulls’ offense revolves around Butler, so he will always get his shots. He is much more likely to be in the 40’s that not. Especially against a sorry perimeter team like the Lakers.

DeMar DeRozan, Raptors ($8,200):Ā DeRozan has been a little off in the last two games against the Clippers and Wizards, but he will getĀ a ā€œday offā€ against the Knicks. Look for DeRozan to be much closer to his season average of 35 than his last two game average of 26.

Honorable Mention:

Khris Middleton, Bucks ($7,600): Middleton has been the only consistent Milwaukee player in January. He has only been under 30 FanDuel points once in 2016, and has topped 40 four times in that span. He is almost always in the mid-30’s, which puts you right around 4.2 to 4.6x value.

Monta Ellis, Pacers ($6,200): The return of George Hill has cut into Ellis’s production a bit, but he is still playing right around 35 minutes per game. He is not a great option anymore, but he is almost always between 25 and 32 FanDuel points. That makes him a lower risk option for his price range.

If You’re Cheap:

Gary Harris, Nuggets ($4,700): Harris has played 30 minutes or more in all but two games in 2016. He has been over 20 FanDuel points in all but one of those games. He is a strong option at this price since he is close to 5x value with little risk involved.

Gary Neal, Wizards ($3,600): It is looking more and more likely that Brad Beal will be out with a concussion once again. That opens the door for more playing time for Neal. He is usually the top option off of the bench anyway, so even if Beal plays, Neal should still be able to pick up enough points to keep you from falling behind the pack.

My picks: Middleton and Harris

Next: Should You Pay For Paul George?

Jan 23, 2016; Sacramento, CA, USA; Indiana Pacers forward Paul George (13) looks on against the Sacramento Kings in the fourth quarter at Sleep Train Arena. The Kings won 108-97. Mandatory Credit: Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

Small Forwards:

Best Bets:

Paul George, Pacers ($8,900): Aside from his horrible game against the Warriors on January 22nd, George has been above 35 FanDuel points in every other game in that span. Five of those eight were in the 40’s. With uncertainty behind him (Carmelo Anthony and Rudy Gay are both questionable), it should be prudent to start George at a suddenly thin position.

Giannis Antetokuonmpo, Bucks ($7,500): Antetokuonmpo had his first game over 35 FanDuel points in his last five on Tuesday against the Magic. He also had his highest minutes output since then as well. He is a strong play on a lighter night, but the Bucks’ rotations always make me nervous. You still need 30 FanDuel points for 4x value here.

Honorable Mention:

Otto Porter, Wizards ($6,100): Porter has amassed 58.3 FanDuel points in his two games since returning fromĀ a hip injury. That is near 5x value. He certainly is worth a look if you are looking to skimp at SF tonight.

Omri Casspi, Kings ($5,200): Rudy Gay has already been ruled out, but Casspi has struggled to get his game back to the level that is was at in December. He is still averaging 20.9 FanDuel points per game since his return though, which is near 4x value. The fact that he will start in Gay’s place makes himĀ a strong bet to go over that, even though he failed to do so on Tuesday.

If You’re Cheap:

Doug McDermott, Bulls ($3,500): There areĀ a couple of dart throws at SF afforded by injuries tonight if you are really looking to hit on a sleeper. The first is McDermott, who will help fill the void of Nikola Mirotic who had an appendectomy on Wednesday. McDermott has been playing over 20 minutes per game anyway, but could see upwards of 30 tonight. That makes himĀ a strong bet for at least 4.5x value.

Anthony Brown, Lakers ($3,500): Both Lou Williams and Kobe Bryant drew the questionable designation. If they cant go, Brown is a strong bet to earn a start. He did well earlier this month when playing 25 minutes. Stay tuned to the situation if you plan on using him.

My Picks: George and Porter

Next: Do You Need To Spend On Draymond Green?

Jan 21, 2016; Sacramento, CA, USA; Atlanta Hawks forward Paul Millsap (4) looks on during the fourth quarter against the Sacramento Kings at Sleep Train Arena. The Sacramento Kings defeated the Atlanta Hawks 91-88. Mandatory Credit: Ed Szczepanski-USA TODAY Sports

Power Forward:

Best Bets:

Paul Millsap, Hawks ($8,900): Millsap is averaging 43.2 FanDuel points over his last thirteen games, and that is with two of those clocking in at under 30 (29 and 28.4). Millsap is a low risk option because of his upside, even at this price. The Pacers are fairly tough up front, but no one has been able to stop Millsap lately.

Kristaps Porzingis, Knicks ($6,900): The rookie has slowed down since a scorching start, but his production is back up lately. He is averaging 32.7 FanDuel points per game over his last ten. That makes him a 4.8x value.

Honorable Mention:

Julius Randle, Lakers ($5,800): The soreness in his leg is does not appear to be much ofĀ a problem, but you should still check before tipoff to see if he is in the lineup. Since he is listed as probable, I am going to act as though he is playing. Randle is averaging 25.9 FanDuel points per game as the starting PF, putting him close to 5x value. You will have a hard time finding better at this price.

Ryan Anderson, Pelicans ($5,700): With Anthony Davis listed as doubtful, that means that Anderson will likely get another start. He has put up some huge numbers when Davis has missed time this year. Hell, he occasionally does it with Davis in there. Anderson is a very low-risk play tonight.

If You’re Cheap:

Myles Turner, Pacers ($5,000): Turner is averaging 33.6 FanDuel points over the last five games. He is playing a lot of minutes right now, and is showing no signs of slowing down. He remains one of the best bargain plays available.

Willie Cauley-Stein, Kings ($4,500): Cauley-Stein has thrived alongside DeMarcus Cousins lately. He has averaged almost a point per minute over his last five games, and is playing nearly 30 minutes per game. You see where I’m going with this.

My picks: Anderson and Turner

Next: Who Is The Best At C?

Center:

Best Bets:

DeMarcus Cousins, Kings ($11,200): Forget about his slightly off night on Tuesday for a minute. He was tired! That was the only game in which Cousins had been under 42 FanDuel points since January 6th. His floor has been 4x value lately. He is rested and gets the Pelicans, who are weak on the inside and without Anthony Davis. This could be another big game for the big man.

Honorable Mention:

Greg Monroe, Bucks ($8,000): Monroe has thrived in his first year with the Bucks, and has given the team the true center that they needed. Monroe is averaging 35.6 FanDuel points per game over his last ten, and has not been under 28 in his last nine games. That makes him 3.8x value at worst. If you cant afford Cousins, Monroe is a suitable fallback option.

Jonas Valanciunas, Raptors ($6,400): His price is not rising as fast as his production, which is great news for us players. Jonas is averaging 32.5 FanDuel points per game in his last eight games, and that includes two tilts against the Wizards, who are good on the interior. He should have no problems with the Knicks tonight.

If You’re Cheap:

Ian Mahinmi, Pacers ($5,000): Mahinmi put up 30 FanDuel points in his return to the court on Tuesday. He was averaging 26 in the ten games before the injury struck. He is a great value play if you choose to go cheap here.

My Pick: Valanciunas
