With the trade deadline looming, these are the five trades the Minnesota Timberwolves should make.

The Minnesota Timberwolves might be having a rough season record wise, but they have one of the youngest and most exciting cores in the NBA. Led by Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins, the Timberwolves boast some of the young talent in the NBA and are on their way to adding another top young pick in this year’s upcoming NBA Draft Lottery.

While the Timberwolves can dream about adding another top talent to the likes of Towns, Wiggins and Zach LaVine, they also will have some work to do at the NBA trade deadline.

With the Timberwolves toward the bottom of the standings in the NBA, they will look to move some of their aging veteran talent to contending teams and maybe gain some assets in return as they try to build for the future.

The good thing about the Timberwolves roster is that they have plenty of moves they can make at the deadline all with the purpose of enhancing the roster for the future.

Some contracts might be a little trickier to move than others, but there are deals for the Timberwolves to make if they are inclined to do so. Here are five trades the Timberwolves should make at the deadline.
