Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Damian Lillard, Trailblazers ($8,700): Lillard has been about as consistent as they come lately. He has had 33 or more FanDuel points in every game since January 20th. That kind of consistency is hard to find for under $10,000. Take it while you can!

Kyle Lowry, Raptors ($8,600): Lowry seems to have shaken off the after effects ofĀ a sore wrist that limited his production against the Pistons and Nuggets. He had a nice game against Phoenix on Tuesday. He should be good to go again tonight.

Honorable Mention:

Reggie Jackson, Pistons ($7,000): His inconsistency since the return of Brandon Jennings is a little bit of a concern. Still, Jackson is playing at least 28 minutes per game, and has been over 30 FanDuel points in six of his last ten games. He is a strong bet to do the same tonight against the Knicks.

Jrue Holliday, Pelicans ($6,800): Holliday still has an off game here and there, like on Monday against Memphis. The fact is that Eric Gordon is still out, and Tyreke Evans is still highly questionable to play tonight. Holliday will still get all the minutes he can handle, even with the emergence of Bryce Jones.

If You’re Cheap:

Archie Goodwin, Suns ($5,100): Goodwin has mostly excelled with Brandon Knight out. He did have bad outings against Dallas and New York, but bounced back with 36.4 FanDuel points against Toronto. He is a strong bet against Houston tonight.

Patrick Beverley, Rockets ($4,800): Beverley’s low price makes him a low risk. He isn’t much of a threat to hit 30 FanDuel points, but he is consistently in the 24-28 range, which makes him right around 6x value. He has a nice matchup against a battered Suns backcourt tonight, and might even hit that elusive 30 mark.

My picks:Ā Lillard and Beverley

Next: Is There A Cheap Option At SG?

Shooting Guards:

Best Bet:

James Harden, Rockets ($11,000): Since the Spurs held Harden to his worst fantasy day of the season on January 27th, Harden got back on track with scores of 54.9, 70.9, and 54.8 over his last three games. He has a delicious matchup against the Suns tonight, and is a near lock for at least 5x value. If you are going to spend, spend here.

DeMar DeRozan, Raptors ($8,100): DeRozan truly is a poor man’s Harden in daily fantasy games. DeRozan has been above 25 FanDuel points in every game since the first week of January, and still will drop a 40 here and there. I doubt it happens tonight against Portland, but he should still be around 4x value.

Honorable Mention:

C.J. McCollum, Trailblazers ($7,600): McCollum lacks the consistency of DeRozan, but he also has a higher upside as he proved with his 47.8 FanDuel point night against the Bucks on Tuesday. I wouldn’t expect that again against Toronto, but we all know that DeRozan isn’t known for his defensive prowess. McCollum could have another good night.

Kobe Bryant, Lakers ($6,300): The team has been giving Bryant regular rest, but do they dare do it now? Bryant has racked up 94.6 FanDuel points in his last two games! He has a very nice matchup against the beat up Pelicans at SG, and could flirt with 40 once again. Just make sure he is in the lineup first.

If You’re Cheap:

Devin Booker, Suns ($5,400): Booker has not been under 20 FanDuel points since January 17th. In those eight games, he has averaged 28 FanDuel points per contest. That is firmly planted at 5x value. He remains one of the better bargains out there with Brandon Knight still out.

Bryce Jones, Pelicans ($3,500): In the four games with Tyreke Evans out, Jones has not been under 20 FanDuel points. If Evans sits again (he is still questionable), play Jones with confidence!

My picks: Harden and Booker

Next: Should You Pay For LeBron James?

Small Forwards:

Best Bet:

Carmelo Anthony, Knicks ($8,900): In his three games back since missing time with a sore knee, Anthony is back to his old form. He has 124.8 FanDuel points in those three games. His matchup with the Pistons is not a great one, but this isĀ a shallow position tonight. Anthony is about the only one that is a threat to hit 30.

Honorable Mention:

Trevor Ariza, Rockets ($5,900): Ariza’s hot streak ended against San Antonio about a week ago, but the whole Houston team struggled with the Spurs. He has been good since then, averaging 28 FanDuel points per game in the three games since then. If you can’t afford Anthony, Ariza is a good fallback option.

Marcus Morris, Pistons ($5,100): Morris in nowhere near his December production, but he has still been over 20 FanDuel points in eight of his last ten games. He is consistently providing above 4x value. You can do worse on a light night like tonight.

If You’re Cheap:

P.J. Tucker, Suns ($4,800): Tucker still has the occasional off game, but now that T.J. Warren is done for the year, they will likely be far between. The suns have a solid matchup with Houston, and Tucker’s stock is on the rise everywhere. He should be a good play while his price is this low.

My Picks: Morris and Tucker

Next: Do You Need To Spend On Anthony Davis?

Power Forward:

Best Bet:

Anthony Davis, Pelicans ($10,100): Davis turned in another dominating performance against the Spurs last night, and was back above 50 FanDuel points for the first time in nearly a month. Another dominant performance could be on the horizon with the Lakers on tap for tonight.

Honorable Mention:

Julius Randle, Lakers ($6,200): Randle has averaged 28.2 FanDuel points per game over his last ten games, and is showing no signs of slowing down. He is averaging a little better than 4.5x value over the last ten games. He may struggle some while bumping around with Anthony Davis on the inside tonight, but I doubt he breaks his streak of 12 games over 20 FanDuel points.

Markieff Morris, Suns ($5,200): Morris has been possibly the biggest beneficiary of the firing of Jeff Hornacek. In the two games since, Morris has racked up 83 FanDuel points, including a career high 54.2 against the Raptors on Tuesday. He might be the biggest value of the night while his price stays this low.

If You’re Cheap:

Josh Smith, Rockets ($4,200): If Clint Capela is out again, Smith could see a nice chunk of court time with Terrence Jones likely out as well. Smith has put up more than 25 points four times in his last seven games. He still carries a bit of a risk, but if one or both of his mates at power forward sit, Smith is a sneaky play.

Ed Davis, Trailblazers ($4,100): Davis has averaged 19 FanDuel points per game over his last ten games. He is a bit of a risk because he doesn’t start, but he is providing close to 5x value on most nights.

My picks: Randle and Morris

Next: Who Is The Best At C?

Jan 29, 2016; Auburn Hills, MI, USA; Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond (0) during the second quarter against the Cleveland Cavaliers at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Mandatory Credit: Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

Center:

Best Bets:

Andre Drummond, Pistons ($8,700): His rebounding ability gives him a very high floor, which is more than enough to make up for all the points that he gives away because of poor free throw shooting. Drummond should be the highest scoring center of the night by a pretty large margin tonight. Save money for him if you can.

Honorable Mention:

Jonas Valanciunas, Raptors ($6,300): Valanciunas has slowed down after a hot start to January, but is still hanging right around 4x value. It’s up to you whether to decide if this is enough. He has high upside, and was in the 30’s for 5 of 7 games before his recent cold streak. Can he get back on track?

If You’re Cheap:

Omer Asik, Pelicans ($3,900): Asik has turned into a really nice punt play. He has been above 4x value in four of his last six games, and was above 4.5 in two of those. It’s no secret the Lakers are weak on the interior. Asik could come up with a nice game, but he carries a healthy risk.

My Pick: Drummond

Next: Is Ish Smith The Real Deal?

Good luck out there!
