Defending champion Zach LaVine threw down a sick behind-the-back reverse on his first dunk of the 2016 Slam Dunk Contest

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Zach LaVine absolutely lit the NBA world on fire last year in the Slam Dunk Contest when he stole the show and arguably single-handedly revived the dunk contest. He was back in at NBA All-Star Saturday Night 2016 in Toronto to defend his title and he didn’t’ seem to miss a single beat from his dominant dunking performance last year.

LaVine started off by entering the arena with a nod to the city of Toronto, choosing Drake’s “Back to Back” as his music to walk in to. However, that was far from the main event of his first dunk as LaVine started on the right wing and lobbed an alley-oop to himself. As he does, he soared to catch it before throwing down a nasty behind-the-back reverse dunk:

And because you need to see that dunk from another angle, here you go:

The young Wolves guard is simply unreal. How is it even possible for a human being to jump as high and make dunks like that so effortless in completion?

In the least shocking development in the world, LaVine got a perfect 50 on his first dunk of the evening. If I had to guess, though, that’s going to be far from his only 50 on the night. The dunk contest is Zach LaVine’s world; we’re just living in it.
