A look at the live results from WWE RAW going down from Chicago on March 7, 2016

With less than a month remaining until WrestleMania 32, WWE fans are in a frenzy waiting to see what development is up next. With WWE RAW heading to Chicago, Illinois on Monday, March 7—one of the most notoriously hot crowds in the country—things could very well pick up in a big way.

For starters, Shane McMahon will make his return to WWE RAW on Monday night as he will almost surely respond to The Undertaker’s appearance on the show last week regarding their match inside Hell in a Cell at Mania. What Shane has to say or what he has planned for the Deadman remains to be seen at this point, though.

Moreover, with the WWE Roadblock special less than a week away that is headlined by Dean Ambrose challenging Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and after the COO left Ambrose laid out at the end of last week’s episode of WWE RAW, fans have to wonder if the Lunatic Fringe has anything planned in retaliation to help build for that match.

There’s plenty more to keep an eye on during WWE RAW as well as the newly formed tag team of AJ Styles and Chris Jericho—or Y2AJ—will challenge The New Day for the WWE Tag Team Championship on RAW in Chicago. Could they take home the titles or could this partnership between two wrestling legends be short-lived.

As WWE enters Chicago, there’s also the chance that there’s some sort of big debut or surprise on hand for WWE RAW as this is the type of crowd to do it in front of. Just who or what that would be is something worth keeping an eye on without question.

With only four episodes of WWE RAW remaining until WrestleMania 32, you won’t want to miss anything that happens and you can follow the results and highlights from the March 7 show below once the show starts at 8 p.m. ET. Join in the discussion of the show in the comments below as well.

Here Comes the Moneeyyyyy! Money, Money, Money, Money!

Shane McMahon again returning to RAW started off the show and he first showed appreciation to Chicago for welcoming him back so warmly:

He then talked about how his father, Vince McMahon is out of touch with his company and everything else in wrestling right now and that was all going to change at WrestleMania 32 when he beat The Undertaker for control of RAW. That’s when Undertaker’s music hit, but then faded into Vince’s music to massive heat.

Vince then furthered his stance that Shane is no longer his son by bringing up their past and stomping on an old picture of the two together:

He then made things personal by saying that Shane’s kids were going to watch him fail at Mania and then that Vince would be the one father figure the kids “could be proud of.” He then topped that off by saying that his greatest creation (Taker) would defeat his greatest failure (Shane) at Mania, then calling for security to take Shane out of the building. That went over terribly, though, as Shane took them all out after getting so amped up from Vince’s promo:

Shane was left standing tall.

Kevin Owens vs. Neville

Kevin Owens was the aggressor early on in the match, but Neville took advantage of the Intercontinental Champion’s taunting to get a little room that eventually led to Neville getting his knees up on a Senton attempt and then lighting KO up with a flurry of kicks. When Neville went for a dive to the outside, though, Owens moved out of the way and then sent him into the stairs to get the advantage back.

When The Man That Gravity Forgot was able to counter the Cannonball into an ezuigiri, though, that opened things up to the point that Neville hit a Shooting Star Press to the outside.

Owens tried to fight back, but a Moonsault off the top rope came up empty, allowing Neville to hit a Superkick and then the Red Arrow—but that was only good for a two-count.

However, Owens snuck one out with a cheap pin that got the champ the win.

Winner: Kevin Owens

SAMI ZAYN IS HERE!

Owens started to attack Neville after the match and set up for the Apron Powerbomb on the outside, but that cued up Sami Zayn’s music to a massive pop in Chicago:

Zayn and Owens duked it out for a bit and then Neville landed a kick to cause Owens to go off running with the belt. Ole, Ole, Ole!

Next we got Stephanie McMahon and Dolph Ziggler backstage where Dolph was still trolling her and The Authority. In retaliation, Stephanie said that Ziggler would be in a handicap match against The League of Nations later in the night.

Brie Bella vs. Summer Rae

These two Divas moved every bit as slow and like they were going through a choreographed step routine as you’d imagine. After Brie missed a crossbody, Lana again ran in to distract the Bella, allowing Summer to get an ugly roll-up for the win.

After that distraction, Lana came into the ring to kick Brie in the stomach and deliver Brie’s on Sit-Out Facebuster finish to the Bella before retreating with a smile.

Winner: Summer Rae

Dean Ambrose; He So Crazy

Dean Ambrose was out to talk about the beatdown that Triple H gave him to end the previous episode of WWE RAW, talking about how he was going to ruin Hunter and The Authority’s plans at WWE Roadblock by taking the title and going into WrestleMania as champion.

That’s when Triple H had enough, though, and came out to further taunt Ambrose. Ambrose was looking for a fight, but Hunter wasn’t biting a bit. Instead, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion stacked the deck further in his favor at Roadblock by putting Dean in a match against Bray Wyatt later on RAW

Dolph Ziggler vs. League of Nations

Dolph Ziggler was put in a match where he was supposed to look like he had no hope and, well, he really didn’t. Dolph started off like a bat out of hell as he pinned King Barrett to eliminate the first member of the League of Nations, but that was all she wrote for Ziggler with Sheamus hitting the Brogue Kick to end it.

After a couple of promotional segments/videos, it was Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch backstage arguing as they are building toward those two being in the triple threat at WrestleMania 32 for the WWE Divas Championship.

Winners: League of Nations

Tamina & Naomi vs. Sasha Banks & Becky Lynch

This was a quick, but still enjoyable-ish match as Naomi and Tamina got in some offense early, but Sasha came out and dominated Naomi to get the submission victory. With Becky already taken out by Tamina, though, Charlotte attacked and took out both of her opponents in the triple threat at Mania.

Winners: Sasha Banks & Becky Lynch

Backstage, we got yet another development in the Golden Truth saga between Goldust and R-Truth, featuring Truth disguised as a pizza delivery guy. There was a great moment with Mark Henry being happy about the forgotten Chicago Style pizza, though.

Tag Team Championship Match: New Day (c) vs. Y2AJ

The team of AJ Styles and Chris Jericho got the upper hand in the match early, keeping their eyes on the tag titles. They even took to the air early in the match to really secure control as the challengers.

However, New Day took the advantage when Xavier Woods interfered to stun Jericho who was propped ip on the ropes. Jericho eventually got free though and took the hot tag to start wrecking New Day.

When Big E got into the match, though, he slowed AJ down and almost had the win by pinfall until Y2J barely broke it up. That led to Jericho then getting the hot tag and getting the advantage back for he and Styles. AJ snuck a tag in after recovering hitting a springboard 450 splash, but only for a two-count.

Jericho almost had Kofi tapping out to the Walls of Jericho, but Big E took out AJ on the outside and then tagged himself in for a couple of impressive counters into the Big Ending on Y2J to get the win and retain the titles.

Winner: New Day

After the match as Styles and Jericho helped each other back to their feet, though, Y2J turned on his partner as he hit three consecutive Codebreakers on The Phenomenal One and left him lying in the ring, stuffing the Y2AJ shirt in his mouth for good measure.

Jericho explained himself to Renee Young backstage, saying that he turned on Styles largely because he wasn’t getting any credit from the fans and he was tired of it.

Kalisto vs. Tyler Breeze

Kalisto and Tyler Breeze had a quick back-and-forth in the ring, but they continued to make Kalisto look good when he’s in the ring without Sin Cara, which he continued to do her before hitting the Salida del Sol for the pinfall victory.

Winner: Kalisto

Once in the back, Ryback talked to Kalisto and essentially told him in way too many words that he needed to dumb Sin Cara and the Lucha Dragons and go out on his own.

Ryback vs. Curtis Axel

Ryback dominated this match about as much as you would expect him to as he continues to squash jobber every single week in quick matches and promos that fall flat. He hit Shell Shocked and the stormed off pompously.

Winner: Ryback

Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt came out to start the main event and got the advantage early on, but only briefly. Ambrose was sure to get some offense of his own in.

The two men were then left jockeying for control until Bray started using his power to keep the upper hand.  Wyatt kept the attack going with his typical methodical fashion. Even when Ambrose would try and fight back, Bray had the answer time and again.

When Ambrose finally got Bray reeling, though, the lights went out and The Wyatt Family appeared to beatdown Dean—which was obviously Triple H’s plan all along—culminating with Bray delivering Sister Abigail in the middle of the ring.

With Ambrose left lying, Triple H came out to stalk his downed prey—but not before Bray and Hunter shared a stare-down with Wyatt pointing at the WWE World Heavyweight title before leaving.

Triple H then set his sights on Ambrose, but as the champ went to set up the announce table for another beating, Dean popped up and caught Hunter with Dirty Deeds before picking up the title and posing to close the show heading into Saturday’s Roadblock show.

And that’s how WWE RAW from Chicago went off the air on March 7. What did you think of the show? Let us know in the comments below.
