NXT superstar and fan favorite Sami Zayn showed up on WWE RAW to confront his nemesis, Kevin Owens

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens were having epic battles in the squared circle long before they were ever both in WWE or even NXT. As El Generico and Kevin Steen, the two real-life friends put on some of the best wrestling matches and feuds of the past decade. Now they look to be building toward yet another incredible battle between the two as Sami Zayn is now working on the main roster after showing up on WWE RAW on the March 7 episode.

After a match between Owens and Neville on WWE RAW, Owens couldn’t let a cheap victory stand sufficiently and started to beat down the high-flyer. He got Neville to the outside and started to line him up for the Apron Powerbomb—which is when Zayn’s ska music hit and the Chicago crowd went nuts:

The two punched it out and battled for a bit until Neville got his wits back and the two double-teamed Owens. That sent the Intercontinental Champion running and Sami Zayn and Neville standing tall in the ring.

Zayn’s main roster debut has been a long time coming as he’s been a standout in NXT for so long. In fact, it might’ve already happened if not for a shoulder injury that kept Zayn out for several months after he answered John Cena’s U.S. Open Challenge.

Regardless of timing, though, every wrestling fan is now praying that this leads to Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 32. They may not technically be in the main event, but they could quite easily steal the show with a well-built feud and the talent of the two superstars.
