Buddy Hield is one of the more volatile stocks in this year’s NBA Draft.

Oklahoma Sooners shooting guard Buddy Hield might be one of the most interesting players in this year’s NBA Draft. Fans of the sweet-shooting Jamaican point to his outstanding shot-making ability and development over his Sooners career. Critics question his age and lack of size. Whichever group turns out to be right, the debate over Buddy Hield’s draft status will rage on until his name is called on draft night.

Hield’s prospects will surely be boosted by the fact he has the one elite skill NBA teams covet above all else in today’s game: he can really shoot the ball. He’s no Steph Curry, obviously, but he’s got a similar ability to create his own shot.

Hield’s draft position is an especially intriguing topic of discussion because this year’s field is pretty much wide open after the top two picks. Ben Simmons of LSU and Brandon Ingram of Duke are locks to go first and second, but after that things are very hard to predict. There’s no reason that Hield can’t go as high as number three, depending on his pre-draft workouts.

Lots of teams will evaluate Hield in preparation for the draft, but read on to discover the five most likely landing spots for the electric scorer.
