Andrew Wiggins flies for ridiculous dunk vs the Jazz (Video)
Watch Andrew Wiggins throw down a ridiculous dunk that made the Minnesota Timberwolves fans go wild.
Andrew Wiggins has impressed so far during his two seasons in the NBA. He is averaging 20.6 PPG in year two and shooting a solid 45-percent. Three-point shooting has declined, though. The former Kansas Jayhawk is only hitting 28-percent of those shots, a number that the Minnesota Timberwolves would want increased over time.
What fans can’t deny is that Wiggins is very athletic. It’s part of what made him the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.
Well, on Saturday night, the Canadian showed off his athleticism and high-flying skills in a home game against the Utah Jazz.
During the third quarter, Wiggins took the ball from point guard Ricky Rubio around the three-point line. He then took one large dribble and moved a few feet into the paint. He then threw down this ridiculous one-handed slam that saw two Jazz defenders staring at him in awe of what he was doing.
A look at the dunk can be seen below.
A pretty impressive feat by Wiggins to say the least. Minnesota needs highlights like these throughout the rest of the season given that this one has been lost. However, the future is bright with guard Zach LaVine and fellow No. 1 overall pick Karl-Anthony Towns leading the way. Things won’t be so bad for the Wolves sooner than later.
