As a freshman, the former Crete-Monee star made an immediate impact for the Rebels with 72 receptions, 608 yards, and five touchdowns. During his sophomore campaign Treadwell’s career hit a major setback as he broke his fibula and dislocated his ankle in a late-season game against Auburn and missed the last four games of the season.
After a long off-season rehabilitation process, the junior receiver quickly removed any doubt of the status of his surgically repaired leg, playing the entire 2015 season and compiling 82 receptions, 1153 yards, and 11 touchdowns. For his efforts, Treadwell earned first-team All-SEC honors and was named a Biletnikoff Award (best receiver) finalist.
While his stright-line speed has been questioned, Treadwell is receiving comparisons to Dallas Cowboys’ star receiver Dez Bryant for his similar size, strength, and ability to track balls in the air and come down with contested catches.
