Fans of the Atlanta Falcons will be able to feed the whole family for under $30 with the prices listed for the new stadium opening in 2017.

For many fans of all major sports teams, one of the complaints about being able to come out to a live event is the astronomical prices for everything from tickets to a coke and a hot dog. With the Atlanta Falcons moving into their new home, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, for the 2017 season, the team is trying to help make things easier on a fan’s wallet for events.

The Falcons and the stadium released concession prices for the general food items that will be sold at the stadium starting when gates open for the first event. When you take a look at the numbers, you will feel as if you went into a time machine that dropped you off in 1986:

That’s right, fans! You can feed an entire family of four (souvenir soda, hot dog and popcorn for all) for $32. There are some stadiums where you can’t even get a beer and some chicken tenders for that price, so the Falcons are going all out to try and get butts in the seats.

The team said there will also be 65 percent more concession stands in the new stadium as opposed to their current home, the Georgia Dome. Refill stations for sodas will be placed throughout the concourses to allow fans to avoid lines waiting for more drink, while the prices listed include tax already to avoid additional wait for change.

The Falcons say the prices will remain the same for all events at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, including the annual SEC Championship game as well as the 2018 College Football Playoff title game and the 2020 Final Four.

The Falcons will be offering additional gourmet food stands throughout the stadium featuring restaurants from the Atlanta area. The team said prices for those items will be similar to what they cost outside the stadium with no additional markup. The moves are aimed at trying to get average fans to buy season tickets to the Falcons as well as other events.
